Dana Spinler, MA, LPC

Dana has spent a lifetime as a listener and encourager. She launched into adulthood with a B.A. in Social Work from Stephen F. Austin State University. After graduation, her life as a military spouse began and here, she learned sacrifice and problem solving. For the next sixteen years, she created a home for her husband and three children, and they went through two deployments. During this time, she wore many hats as a social worker, Navy wife, teacher, stay-at-home mom, homeschool educator, women’s advocate, business owner, and adoptive parent.  She then entered graduate school and earned her M.A. in Counseling from Liberty University.  Her latest endeavor involves becoming certified as a sex therapist.

As a counselor, she brings her personal and professional experience along with a sense of humor to guide people to self-acceptance of their uniqueness and encourage their authenticity.  She is passionate about helping adolescents, individuals, couples, and families harness their resources to address difficulties, take a new direction, and move into a place of hope. Her life experiences have allowed her to be empathetically present with people through rough times, disappointments, heartaches, and general uncertainty.  She brings with her a style of counseling that helps clients build resilience through acceptance with a commitment to finding hope.

Trainings include - Gottman Couples Therapy - Acceptance, Commitment Therapy (ACT), Sex Therapist Certification through ABCST.

Currently, her free time finds her in an over 40 running club, reading, keeping up with three adult children, and traveling with her husband. Her future goal is to walk the Camino Santiago.
