Lindsay Gentles, MA, LPC

Lindsay is a Licensed Professional Counselor.  She received her Master’s in Counseling from Sam Houston State University in 2013 after following a passion to connect with and walk alongside others through challenging life circumstances, offering hope and promoting balance.

A love for people and an understanding of the connection between Spirit, Mind, and Body have given Lindsay the passion to work with adolescents and adults as they face various obstacles in their lives.  After years of personal growth, Lindsay has learned that strength is not always in grit, but in a willingness to be curious and compassionate toward self and others.  This shift in perspective has transformed her own life, particularly her parenting journey, and she seeks to come along side other parents as they navigate loving and equipping their kids in today’s complex world.  Additionally, Lindsay specializes in perfectionism, anxiety, self-esteem, body image, and disordered eating issues.

Lindsay relies strongly on her Christian faith to be her firm foundation for personal growth and considers her faith to be an essential part of her story. Notably, however, Lindsay is committed to meeting clients where they are and honoring their own personal values and belief system. Ultimately, Lindsay believes everyone has a fundamental right to find joy in life and she desires to help her clients grow in the tools and techniques that will help them uncover and experience that joy.

Lindsay spent several years as a college athlete and understands living with the demands and pressures to produce at the highest level.  Today, Lindsay enjoys staying active—running, coaching her daughters’ teams, or enjoying any and all water activities. She understands the value of healthy rhythms that include connection, hard work, reflection and recovery.   Lindsay values spending time with her husband and family whether it’s watching sports on the couch or adventuring in the outdoors.
